Writer: Linda BeberLinda Beber

Three candidates for state offices discuss their races during the monthly meeting of the Republican Party of Garland County on Thursday.

The forum was the first of three offered by the RPGC to allow Republican and non-partisan candidates to meet with voters, answer their questions and to discuss issues of their races.

Pictured are from left, talk show host Doc Washburn, who is a Republican candidate for Arkansas governor, Sebastian County Circuit Court Judge Gunner DeLay, an Arkansas Supreme Court, Position 6, candidate, and former State Sen. Eddie Joe Williams, a Republican candidate for Secretary of State. All three face opponents in the May 24 primary election.

The last two RPGC forum Forums will be held at 6 p.m. on April 21 and May 5 at the Garland County Library at 1427 Malvern Ave. in Hot Springs. For more information about those forums, please go to the website at TheRPGC.org.

Any Republican or non-partisan candidates who would like to appear at the forum, please contact RPGC Secretary Jim Keary at 501-786-9206 or jlkeary@gmail.com.
